This website is run by enthusiasts in the hope of bringing Loughborough’s most famous landmark into the digital age.

Some text from a [3] Charnwood Borough Council leaflet has been reproduced on this site.
Information regarding the [4] Carillons in the British Isles was put together using data from [5] The Guild of Carillonneurs in North Amercia website.

The domain name [18] loughboroughcarillon.com was registred through [19] Go Daddy and only cost $8.95 USD = £4.87 GBP.
The website is hosted on a Linux Red Hat server at [20] EV1 Servers in Dallas, Texas.
The content management system powering the site is [21] Word Press, an open source Blogging tool written in [22] PHP and using a [23] MySQL database.
The markup language used on [24] this website validates to web standards, we have taken our time to prepare this website in order to make it accessible to all.
We ran accessibility tests from [25] Silktide.com who said:
“All webpages were found to be fully compliant with the [26] W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and therefore likely not in violation of the [27] British Disability Discrimination Act. Pages make proper use of the latest [28] XHTML standards.“
We also ran tests at [29] ContentQuality.com who confirmed we also passed the US [30] Section 508, [26] W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines plus [32] Priority 1, 2, and 3.
Weather data:
The weather report is based on METAR data from [33] Nottingham East Midlands Airport from [34] http://weather.noaa.gov/ this may be a few miles away but it is the closest weather feed I could find and the most accurate and easy to implement. [35] More info.
