Loughborough Carillon Recitals

[Loughborough] (pronounced 'luff-burra' or 'luff-bruh') is the largest town in Leicestershire, England (City of Leicester excluded). The population of the town in 2001 was assesed at 55,492. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and it is the administrative centre for the Charnwood district.

Recitals: December 2008

On Monday 8th December at 14:00 there will be a special recital given by Isaac Wong, Jason Lee and Eddy Marien who are visiting the town and Taylor’s Bell Foundry.

On Saturday 20th December at 13:00 there will be a special Christmas recital featuring Festive songs and carols. Bring a mince pie and come and listen to (or join in with) the festive music.

Recitals will continue to be played on Thursday at 13:00 throughout the winter, except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The tower and museum is now closed for the winter, but will re-open to visitors on Good Friday 2009.
